Embroidered garments
Turn the garment inside out before washing, with the embroidery facing in. If you need to iron it, do so from the opposite side of the embroidery and without direct steam on the thread: concentrated heat melts it and lifts it off.
Sublimated garments
Don't use bleach or fabric softener: both fade the antibacterial finish and dull the sublimated color. Wash in cold water, gentle cycle, and hang in the shade instead of using a dryer.
With technical garments (softshell, windbreakers, quick-dry mesh) avoid the dryer and high-heat ironing: heat deforms the membrane and the fabric's stretch doesn't come back.
