Two straight-stitch machines in Puno, in 1995, at 3,800 meters above sea level. Today, a workshop of our own in Lima, with four product lines and thirty-one years at the cutting table.
Who we are
BAMA was born in 1995—at an altitude of over 3,800 meters above sea level—in the heart of the Peruvian Andes (Puno), on the shores of the world's highest navigable lake. We originated in a place where the cold is demanding, the wind is a challenge, and clothing must act as a second skin. Since then, we have designed garments for those who train, work, rise early, play sports, and never stop moving. We have evolved over time, yet our essence remains the same: creating high-quality, durable, and functional apparel to support every challenge and make premium textile quality accessible to everyone. We offer four product lines: sportswear, workwear, outdoor, and lifestyle.

- 1995
The brand is founded, in the Peruvian Andes 3,800 meters above sea level.
- 1999
Bama makes the kit for Club Alfonso Ugarte de Puno.
- 2001
The workshop moves to Lima, where it still operates today.
- 2003
The workshop begins producing institutional uniforms by volume under the name Bamatex.
- 2012
The brand launches its own sportswear line and becomes Bama Sportswear.
- 2019
Automated cutting machinery and batch quality control are introduced.
- 2026
Four product lines with continuous production for institutions across Peru.
